Brett Eisenberg (Gellar) is an ambitious young book editor living in the literary hotbed of Manhattan’s upper east side. While attempting to navigate the political regime change at her office, she faces the pressure of leaving her safe, but often boring, college boyfriend for the charms of a notorious, and much older, publishing playboy named Archie Knox (Baldwin).
