Joss Whedon had the idea of a ballet episode after Amy Acker mentioned durinf a WB upfront that she had done 15 years of ballet. The story including Amy's ballet scene didn't work, so Joss had to cut it. You can see it in the dvd, Alexis is hilarious in it. The ballet scenes were shot during two days in the Orpheum theater in L.A. Mark Lutz is only credited at the end of the episode to keep his return a surprise. Summer Glau is playing the prima ballerina before her part of River in Firefly and Serenity. Quotes

CORDELIA: Lost me in the middle.
ANGEL: Cordy, you and I, we've been working together for - a long time. Well, what I mean is, you've become... a truly extraordinary woman. I know we haven't always gotten along, but - I think that we, you know, we...
CORDELIA: Groo?
ANGEL: Yes! We - we-we grew - closer together, I think--
(Cordy runs past Angel)
CORDELIA: Groo!
GROO: Princess!
