Review
Before Cordelia Chase, Charisma Carpenter was Ashley Green in the short lived series Malibu Shores.
The show could be Aaron Spelling's 'Outsiders'. While some were famous before, like Michelle Phillips (Knots Landing) and 90210 guests (Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling) many faces of the show would become famous in the years to come: Keri Russell (Felicity), Susan Ward (Sunset Beach), Charisma Carpenter (Buffy/Angel), Greg Vaughan (Charmed), Tia Texada (Third Watch), Barry Watson (7th Heaven).
My favorite episode is the one with the art professor, where we got to see the dark side of Ashley. While I'm not found of the Flipper character, he turned out to be the only one that truly cared about Ashley, not the glitter nor the glamour girl, but the lonely girl with insensitive parents. I could almost see pictures in a valentine's day album, showing the real Ashley, her ups and downs, and Flipper surprisingly winning her heart at the end of the day.
Yet another Romeo & Juliet romance was around the corner, but I can't complain, after all some of the best stories of all times were Romeo & Juliet romances.
Stories were uneven, even bulimia of the main character that was supposed to bring her closer to us, failed. We lost her way before it and I couldn't care less for her and the show. Remains the delightful performance of Charisma Carpenter.
